A sinkhole appeared on the roundabout between calle Tajaraste and calle Campoamor in the Argana Alta neighbourhood of Arrecife yesterday.
The sinkhole is a result of damage to sewage pipes underneath the street, as stated by Arrecife Mayor, Yonathan de León.
The hole, approximately two metres in diameter, was quickly fenced off by municipal staff and traffic diverted.
Work to repair the damage beneath the road and to the road itself has already begun.
