The National Police have arrested a man, with a long police record, as the alleged perpetrator of 15 incidents of criminal damage and a number of vehicle robberies.
In the early hours of October 28th, in the Altavista neighbourhood of Arrecife, the detainee allegedly set fires to 15 different rubbish containers and three vehicles.
Police that night ruled that the fires were set in an act of arson and later launched an investigation to find the perpetrator.
The investigation has led to the arrest of a man in Arrecife, who they believe to be the person that committed the crimes on October 28th.
He is now awaiting the following legal proceedings.
