Lanzarote has been placed on a yellow alert for high seas from 9pm tonight (Monday 9th) until midday on Tuesday 10th.
The north and north-east coasts will experience unpredictable seas with the possibility of waves of up to 4 -5 metres.
Anyone in these parts of the island is advised to take extra care when walking by the coast, on piers etc. It’s definitely not a good time to visit areas such as Los Charcones.
