A Lanzarote delegation, including the Cabildo officials, Tias Ayuntamiento officials and some of Lanzarote’s Irish business owners, was sent to Dublin recently to present Puerto del Carmen’s upcoming St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

The St. Patrick’s Presentation was held at Dublin City Council and also included cheese & wine tasting from Lanzarote. The aim of the visit was to strengthen trade ties, attract investment and consolidate the historical and cultural relations that have united the two Atlantic islands.

Those part of the delegation included Oswaldo Betancort, Jose Juan Cruz Saavedra, Ángel Vázquez, José Valle, John Killeen, Brendan Byrne & Enda O’Coineen among others.

Among the other attendees at the presentation were numerous Irish personalities and authorities, such as the Spanish Ambassador to Ireland, Ion de la Riva Guzmán de Frutos, and the Deputy Mayor of Dublin, Racheal Batten. They all highlighted the importance of this celebration.

The presentation of the festival took place within the framework of an institutional trip designed to strengthen ties with Ireland, with special emphasis on economic and cultural relations. It not only celebrates Irish culture but also encourages closer collaboration that will benefit both peoples in the future.
