The proposed island plan for Lanzarote will see the hospital and courts moved to Tahiche, new industrial zones in Arrecife and Tinajo, a sporting complex and a rally circuit.
The new Island Development Plan is currently at draft stage and is sure to be subjected to several objections and amendments before being approved, but the current plans will be presented to the public shortly.
They include two new industrial zones: one on the road from Tinajo to Tiagiua and another behind the port area in Arrecife.
The space between Arrecife and Tahiche will be the site of a new “Health City” and “Justice City” where the island’s hospital and courts will be transferred to.
A rally circuit is proposed north of Arrecife and a new “Sports City” located on the road from Arrecife to Güime, is also planned.
