A woman has died in a full-frontal collision between two vehicles in Puerto del Carmen.
The crash occurred at around 10.40 pm last night on the LZ-40 road near Matagorda. Emergency services rushed to the scene where firemen extracted two of the victims from their vehicles while paramedics attended to another person who had been thrown clear.
Attempts to resuscitate one of the trapped drivers failed and she was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The two other victims were transferred to the Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital with “serious injuries.”
