Papagayo campsite 98% full during Easter Week

Lanzarote Cabildo has announced that the Papgayo campsite in Playa Blanca has reached 98% occupancy during Easter Week, the first time it’s been this busy at this time of year.

The Cabildo councillor responsible for the site, Samuel Martín, welcomed these figures as “a clear sign that the investments and efforts to improve the facilities have had a very positive impact on both the user experience and the conservation of the environment.”

“We have opted for a more efficient and sustainable management of the campsite, improving basic services, accessibility and safety, always respecting the natural environment. The level of occupancy we are seeing this Easter week shows that we are going in the right direction,” Martín added.

HOW DO I BOOK?

Unfortunately, it appears as though the remaining slots are all booked up this time; however, here is how to book for next time. The campsite opens periodically throughout the year and is not open all year round.

The campsite has 284 plots, 64 of which are for tents (3×4 approximately), 220 are for caravans, motor homes and larger tents (7×9 metres approximately.)

The cost per day for residents is nine euros, and eleven euros for non-residents (for caravans, motor homes and larger tents.) For tents, the cost will be six euros per day for residents and eight euros for non-residents.

Reservations can be made on the website here: http://www.acampadapapagayo.com/ or over the phone 828 181 555.
