Two cars were destroyed in Playa Blanca this morning in the latest of a spate of fires in the resort.
Emergency services were called to Avenida de Faro Pechiguera on the Residencial Playa Blanca estate at 4.12 am. When firemen arrived, they extinguished a blazer which was threatening to damage adjacent properties. The cars were completely destroyed.
The incident is the latest in a spate of what seem to be cases of arson, following the deliberate burning of two rubbish containers on Calle Irlanda on Sunday evening and another two containers on Calle la Concha on Monday afternoon.
