Tias Local Police carried out over 7000 services this year

Tias Local Police have carried out over 7000 services so far this year, including 320 citations and 173 traffic accident interventions, among other services.

Tías Mayor, José Juan Cruz, acknowledged “the daily work of our Local Police, which demonstrates its commitment to safety and citizen coexistence by managing more than 7,000 services in just six months”.

Cruz added that, “the Tías Local Police not only intervenes in cases of traffic or security, but is present in many daily aspects that directly affect the welfare of our neighbours, such as urban incidents, control of activities or social interventions”.

So far this year, Tias Local Police has processed 150 files of public domain related to incidents in signalling, spills or odours on public roads, incidents regarding street lighting, street vending and deterioration and damage to public furniture.

95 actions were taken in urban matters, mainly in inspections and in cases of occupation of public roads; and 100 in cases affecting classified activities, such as inspection of premises and openings, control of closing hours, noise emissions and others.

In relation to proceedings involving animals, such as actions with animals loose on public roads, animal abuse, potentially dangerous animals and nuisance, 99 cases were attended to.

Social Services cases, which are summarized in interventions with homeless people, minors, gender violence and others, totalled 43.

With regard to criminal proceedings, 11 persons were prosecuted for alleged crimes against road safety, 9 for cases related to traffic accidents, and 23 for various crimes and misdemeanours.

Finally, 332 traffic accident reports have been processed.
