A 60-year-old man drowned in central Arrecife yesterday.
At around 2.30 pm a swimmer at the Club Náutico, in central Arrecife spotted a body at the bottom of the sea, near the ramp belonging to the Club. Attempts to resuscitate the victim were unsuccessful.
The victim is not thought to be a member of the club, and police are investigating the incident.
