The official poster for the highly anticipated 2026 Puerto del Carmen Carnival has been revealed, setting the stage for a festive journey back to “The Roaring Twenties”.
The presentation was made by the Mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, alongside Deputy Mayor Nicolás Saavedra and the Councillor for Festivals, Miriam Hernández. They confirmed that the upcoming edition aims to transform the streets into a grand stage inspired by the elegance, carefree spirit, and joy of that iconic decade.
This year’s theme promises to pay tribute to a period defined by music, dance, and celebration, fusing its vibrant energy with the unique identity and landscapes of Lanzarote. The ambitious proposal seeks to fill Puerto del Carmen with colour, rhythm, and widespread popular participation.
The winning poster design was created by local resident Francisco David Villacrés Cuadrado. Drawing inspiration from Lanzarote’s landscapes, villages, and skies, his work uses bright colours and a festive aesthetic designed to evoke both the carnival atmosphere and the magic of the island.
