Unpredictable weather conditions led to various diverted flights over the weekend, with three Lanzarote-bound flights from Newcastle, Manchester and London diverted to Fuerteventura.
Other flights to Lanzarote from Hamburg, Rotterdam and Frankfurt were also diverted to Gran Canaria
Lanzarote remains on a yellow alert for rain today, with the possibility of up to 15 mms per hour falling. However, the highly localised nature of the rainfall brought by Storm Therese was evident yesterday as some parts of the island suffered heavy downpours while others did not receive a drop of rain.
Current forecasts suggest that the storm will diminish tomorrow and normal conditions will start to return on Wednesday, as the wind shifts northerly.
