Spain’s Meteorological Agency (AEMET) will activate a yellow wind warning on Lanzarote this Thursday.
The warning will activate this Thursday (April 3rd) at 3pm and will remain active until midnight.
Southwest wind speeds are forecast to reach up to 70 km/h and will mainly affect the interior of the island.
Intense gusts of winds of up to 90 km/h are expected to affect the other islands (La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro, Tenerife and Gran Canaria) where AEMET will activate an orange warning.
There will also be a yellow rain warning on the other islands (La Palma, La Gomera & El Hierro.) While there are no current yellow rain warnings announce for Lanzarote this week, AEMET do forecast chances of rain throughout.
