AEMET issue yellow wave warning on Lanzarote

Spain’s meteorological agency has activated a yellow warning for waves across Lanzarote this Tuesday.

The yellow warning will be in effect from 1:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. AEMET predicts the probability of the adverse coastal conditions at between 40% and 70%. Authorities are urging extreme caution along the coast, particularly in areas exposed to the northwest swell.

There is a possibility of light, occasional, and scattered rain during the first half of the day. Temperatures will remain unchanged or see a slight drop. A moderate north-westerly wind is forecast, tending to become light by the evening.

Emergency services have reiterated the importance of avoiding any risky activities on the coast while the warning remains in place.
