Almost 40% of properties for sale on Lanzarote cost over half a million euros

Nearly four out of ten of the properties that are for sale on Lanzarote cost over half a million euros.

At the start of this year almost 40% of properties for sale on Idealista cost over half a million euros.

In December last year, it was revealed that the average price per square metre in Arrecife had risen 21.p% (now 1,944 euros on avg.) compared to December 2023, and in Teguise it had risen by 15.8% (now 2,668 euros on avg.).

Yaiza now has an average price per square metre of 3,568 euros, while Tias saw a 28.6% increase to 3,715 euros per square metre on average (compared to earlier in the year).

Properties listed for under 100,000 euros are advertised for investors, as La Voz reports that these are illegally occupied and are not immediately accessible after purchase, cannot be visited and their condition is unknown.

For properties listed between 120,000 and 140,000 euros there are just 25 houses and flats for sale, between 25 and 151 square metres (most of which are in Arrecife). Additionally, some of the 24 properties are occupied and cannot be moved into immediately or are in need of refurbishment.

For properties listed between 140,000 and 200,000 euros there are 116 houses and flats for sale, the majority of which are over 100 square kilometres in size.

20% of properties listed for sale are between 200,000 and 300,000 euros, which are divided into flats for sale in Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca, measure between 30 and 50 square metres, and duplexes, flats, and houses for sale in the rest of the island are over 90 square metres.

27.6% of properties listed for sale between 300,000 and 500,000 euros are houses ranging from 44 to 900 square metres.
