AEMET, Spain’s weather bureau, has issued a yellow alert for suspended dust particles on Sunday 22nd February.
The alert is in place for the full 24 hours of Sunday, with visibility predicted to be limited to 3,000 metres. The calima is expected to arrive this afternoon and be at its heaviest in the morning and early afternoon.
Otherwise, the day is predicted to be calm and sunny, with no threat of wind or showers that might rain on Puerto del Carmen’s parade.
