A rescue helicopter was mobilised to rescue a cyclist on La Graciosa yesterday.
The cyclist had fallen on the road to Pedro Barba, and when Emerlan staff reached him, they established that he had injured his shoulder and chest, and was having trouble breathing.
Paramedics were called in order to stabilize the victim and administer painkillers until the helicopter arrived.
