Emergency services recovered the body of a 25-year-old man whose car had gone over the Famara cliff yesterday.
After receiving a call at 11.28, emergency service reached the destroyed vehicle via the Barranco La Poceta. The body of the young man was removed in a helicopter, and the car was rolled into a ditch to avoid it tumbling further down the cliff. It was later also removed by helicopter.
Although no further statements have been made, the cliff at Famara is a well-known suicide spot on Lanzarote.
