Canarian President Fernando Clavijo attended the ceremony for the laying of the first stone for 67 new apartments in Arrecife on Friday.
The project is located in Los Geranios, an area close to Tahiche in northern Arrecife. It will cost €8 million and is due to be completed in 20 months by Hormiconsa Canarias S.A.
Clavijo said “We are working intensively to respond to the needs of thousands of families who face difficulties in accessing decent and affordable housing” and pointed out that 415 houses were already being built on Lanzarote, with a further 60 being renovated.
