Guardia Civil officers are investigating four workers who are accused of stealing copper.
The operation began last November when two subcontractors of a telephone company reported the theft of 5,616 kilograms of copper, worth an estimated €18,253.65.
Guardia Civil agents from the Roca team managed to identify and seize 2,496 kilos of copper that had been illicitly sold by the workers involved. These individuals had been hired to carry out telephone dismantling works and had taken advantage of the situation to remove the copper.
