AEMET, Spain’s weather agency, is currently predicting a 95-100% chance of rain today. The wet weather will arise from the southern edges of a storm that is moving east from the Azores towards the Spanish and Portuguese coasts, although the weather is not predicted to be severe on Lanzarote where no warnings or pre-alerts have been issued
Winds will vary from southerly to westerly, conditions which often bring unsettled weather, although the dominant northern alisio wind is expected to return by midweek.
