Malpais records, Lanzarote’s only record label, has released a hypnotic new video by Pleito, a project by the Gran Canarian saxophonist Alba Gil Aceytuno.
Her use of circular breathing and arpeggios creates a shimmering soundscape for the vocals of Lajalada (Belén Doreste). The single, aulagadepolvorin, is the first release from a new album which will come out later in the year.
The atmospheric video, with a brief guest appearance from a dog, was shot at the Roque Aguayro on Gran Canaria.
Pleito will be performing on Lanzarote on November 9th at the Recova in Arrecife.
