The National Police have arrested a man as the alleged perpetrator of a recent car fire in Arrecife.
A complaint was filed at the end of October this year by a resident of Arrecife, who stated that her vehicle had been intentionally set on fire in the early hours of October 26th. At the time of the report, she did not know or have any suspicions of who might have committed the crime.
An investigation was launched, and, thanks to the cooperation of the public, the victim’s ex-partner was identified as the alleged perpetrator, the same person that accompanied her to the station to file the original complaint.
After being located, the alleged perpetrator was arrested for criminal damage and gender violence charges.
This year, there have now been 8 arrested by the National Police in relation to the burning of rubbish containers and vehicles.
