In response to enquiries from various readers, we can confirm that the Saborea Lanzarote Food Fair which is usually held in La Villa de Teguise every November, will not take place this year.
After a record 11th edition last year, the Cabildo announced that the food fair would become a biennial event, held every two years. This would allow organisers more time to arrange an event that is becoming an increasingly important date on Lanzarote’s calendar.
As a result, the 12th edition of the fair is likely to take place on one of two weekends in late November 2026.
The fair has been one of the biggest successes of Lanzarote’s resurgent food sector, a showcase for island producers and chefs that attracts thousands of visitors and is the most important event of its kind on the Canary Islands.
