Arrecife Ayuntamiento has reopened the town beach to bathers after receiving a report from the Canary Islands Public Health Department that certified that the water quality is optimal for bathing.
Water samples were taken last Thursday and advised against bathing at the beach. On that day, various sewage networks were flooded partly due to the rains experienced that week. At that time, Arrecife Ayuntamiento established a protocol and advised against bathing at the beach as a preventative measure.
This week, the beach was reopened after receiving test results from the Canary Islands Public Health Department that certified that the water quality is once again optimal for bathing in.
