Ryanair strikes in Spain begins

Minimum services of 57% on international Ryanair flights will apply during today’s strike action by Azul Handling.

The strike will take place from 5 am to 9 am, 12 midday to 3 pm and 9pm to midnight, and will be repeated every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

On flights to mainland Spain, minimum services of 86% have been established. Ryanair’s luggage handlers are protesting against being forced to work outside agreed hours, alleging penalties of up to 36 days without work or pay if they do not comply.

Some possible delays are likely to be the only effects experienced by most travellers.
