24-year-old injured after scooter accident in Arrecife

A 24-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle while riding a scooter in Arrecife. The incident occurred at around 3.30 pm yesterday on Calle Tebete, in the Altavista barrio. Emergency services attended the scene, and the young man was taken to hospital suffering “multiple light injuries”.

A 70-year-old diver died yesterday at Charco del Palo. Emergency services were contacted at around 2pm, after the man had lost consciousness after coming out of the water. Paramedics that attended the scene were unable to resuscitate the victim.
