Arrecife Local Police have identified three young men who were reported to have been riding their electric scooters recklessly in the capital.
The incident took place around the Rambla Medular in Arrecife, where the three young men were filmed riding electric scooters against the flow of traffic, circling cars, jumping and mounting pavements in a risky manner.
While they have been identified, and will face penalties for several road safety offences, it is only a sample of an ongoing issue regarding electric scooters as many residents feel that they need more regulation to ensure the safety of the public and riders themselves.
