A woman hiker was rescued yesterday after falling on Montaña Guardilama.
The incident occurred just after midday, with the woman receiving a blow to the face and becoming disoriented, without losing consciousness.
Firemen reached the women in two all-terrain vehicles and informed the emergency helicopter that its services would not be required. The woman was then taken to an ambulance which was waiting at Yaiza Secondary School-.
Guardilama, between La Asomada and La Geria, is a 604-metre volcano that offers some of the best views on the island.
